Project Settings

Once you've created a project in iContentForge, the Project Settings page is your control center for defining its core identity, content guidelines, and generation parameters. Access this page by clicking on your project's name in the dashboard and selecting "Settings" from the sidebar.

Basic Project Information

This section contains the foundational details of your project.

  • Project Name: A descriptive name for your internal reference. This does not affect published content.
  • Niche: The primary topic or industry focus (e.g., "Digital Marketing," "SaaS," "Home Fitness"). This helps guide the AI's topical understanding.
  • Target Domain: The root URL where your articles will be published (e.g., https://yourblog.com). This is used for internal linking suggestions and sitemap generation.
  • Language: The primary language for content generation. iContentForge supports multiple languages, ensuring articles are written with proper grammar and cultural context for your audience.
💡

Always use the full domain (including https://) in the Target Domain field. This ensures Silo Radar and sitemaps function correctly.

Brand Voice Configuration

Define your brand's personality to ensure all generated content is consistent and on-brand.

  • Tone of Voice: Select from presets like Professional, Friendly, Authoritative, Conversational, or Witty. This sets the overall attitude of the writing.
  • Writing Style: Provide specific instructions (e.g., "Use active voice," "Avoid jargon," "Include data points where possible," "Write for a beginner audience").
  • Avoid Words: Enter a comma-separated list of words, phrases, or clichés you never want to appear in your content (e.g., "leverage," "think outside the box," "game-changer").
ℹ️

The Brand Voice settings are applied as core instructions to the AI for every article generated in this project, making it essential for maintaining a unified brand identity at scale.

These parameters are guidelines for the AI. The final output may vary slightly based on the keyword and the AI's natural language generation. Use the Article Preview feature to verify output before bulk generation.

Deleting a Project

If you need to remove a project and all associated data, use the Delete Project section at the bottom of the Settings page.

  1. Click the red "Delete This Project" button.
  2. A confirmation modal will appear detailing the scope of the deletion.
  3. Type the project's name as shown to confirm.
  4. Click "Permanently Delete."

Data Deletion Rules:

  • Immediate Deletion: The project record, all configured settings, your Keyword Matrix, and all article drafts not yet published to a connected CMS are permanently deleted from iContentForge.
  • Published Content: Articles that have already reached the "published" status in your CMS will not be removed from your website. iContentForge only sends content to your CMS; it does not manage deletion there. You must remove published articles directly within your WordPress, Ghost, etc., admin panel.
  • Billing: Deleting a project does not trigger a prorated refund. Your article generation quota is reset according to your billing cycle.
⚠️

Deletion is irreversible. Please ensure you have exported any necessary data from your Keyword Matrix or article drafts before confirming.
